Itinerary:

Day 0 – Arrival & Expedition Briefing


Arrival in Bogotá followed by an evening briefing. Introduction to Andean owl diversity, diurnal perch detection strategies, habitat use patterns, and nocturnal protocols when required.

  • Stygian Owl (Asio stygius)

  • Striped Owl (Asio clamator)

  • Tropical Screech-Owl (Megascops choliba)

  • Andean Pygmy-Owl (Glaucidium jardinii)

  • Rufous-banded Owl (Strix albitarsis)

  • Mottled Owl (Strix virgata)
