This expedition combines accessible and moderate trails with occasional ascents in Andean and rainforest terrain. Most walks are on well-maintained paths with gentle slopes and short distances, averaging 2 to 4 hours per day. Itinerary:

Day 1 – Páramo and Andean forest landscapes

The first day explores the transition between the high plains of the páramo and the Andean forest near Bogotá. Early in the morning, the group visits open high-mountain areas above 3,000 m, learning about the importance of these ecosystems for water and biodiversity. In the afternoon, the route continues through Andean forest, where vegetation becomes denser and the first colorful hummingbirds appear among native
