Through a combination of carefully managed feeding stations and natural forest exploration, we create ideal conditions for both observation and natural-light photography. Itinerary:

Day 0 – Arrival & Expedition Briefing


Arrival in Bogotá and evening orientation session. Introduction to the Andean elevational gradient, target hummingbird assemblages, and natural-light observation strategy for the days ahead.

  • Green-Bearded Helmetcrest (Oxypogon guerinii)

  • Bronzy Inca (Chalcostigma heteropogon)

  • Sword-billed Hummingbird (Ensifera ensifera)

  • Glowing Puffleg (Eriocnemis vestita)

  • White-bellied Woodstar (Chaetocercus mulsant)

  • Green-tailed Trainbearer (Lesbia nuna)

  • Black-tailed Trainbearer (Lesbia victoriae)
