This route explores páramo, high Andean forest, Andean forest, and wetlands, highlighting one of Colombia’s richest regional endemic bird assemblages.

Wildlife focus

Focus on regional endemic and near-endemic species such as Green-bearded Helmetcrest, Silvery-throated Spinetail, Blue-throated Starfrontlet, Golden-bellied Starfrontlet, Cundinamarca Antpitta, and Bogotá Rail.

Field experience and itinerary rhythm

A 5-day route with orientation in Bogotá followed by high-altitude páramo, managed feeding stations, wetlands, savanna corridor habitats, and humid Andean forest transition.

Logistics and group size

Maximum group size: 8 participants. Includes expert guidance, transport, accommodation, entrance fees, meals from Day 1 breakfast through Day 5 lunch, and travel insurance.
